Electroformed and enchased brass presenting relief scenes from the Creation of Eve and Adam and Eve at the Tree of Knowledge; the lid is surmounted by the figure of Judith holding the severed head of Holofernes.

Josef Škorpil, the first director of the Decorative Arts Museum in Pilsen, aimed his efforts at creating chronologically and developmentally coherent series of specimens from each of the decorative arts. Consequently, copies were used more than once to fulfil this role when paradigmatic works were not available.

This electroformed cast of a stein by goldsmith Sebastian Liebhardt, which was acquired from Heinrich Kautsch, an important sculptor, electroformed copy producer, and curator of the museum in České Budějovice, was used in the original museum exhibition to document the hammered metal works of the Mannerist period.
